Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, this role provides leadership across our Finished Goods category, overseeing a team of Vendor Managers and Purchasing Officers.

You'll drive sourcing excellence by ensuring our supplier network delivers on quality, cost, sustainability, and innovation to support R.M.Williams' continued growth both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end sourcing strategy for finished goods, aligning with business growth and sustainability goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Vendor Managers, building capability and fostering accountability.
  • Oversee supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
  • Negotiate complex, high-value contracts to deliver best-in-class commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Product Development, Design, Buying, and Finance to align sourcing capabilities with business plans.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance against key metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.
  • Drive cost optimisation, supply chain resilience, and continuous improvement initiatives across global sourcing operations.
  • Embed ethical and sustainable sourcing practices within supplier partnerships, ensuring compliance and innovation.
  • Manage departmental budgets and contribute to overall procurement cost-saving targets.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related discipline. Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (CSCP, CPSM, MCIPS) is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a strong focus on finished goods sourcing.
  • Proven success in managing and developing high-performing teams and vendor portfolios at scale.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
  • High proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Infor) and advanced analytical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capability.
  • A strategic, global mindset with the ability to navigate complex supply chains and fast-paced environments.
