Mountain Dew Iceis a family owned and operated business which has been manufacturing and distributing ice across Tasmania since the 1980's.

We are seeking a part time Ice Manufacturing Laborer/Factory Hand from now until to April 2024 based at Port Sorell.

The position is @ 3 days a week, from 7.30am until the job is complete which is around 2pm each day. The applicant would be required to work up to 5 days per week for the two weeks over Christmas but then return to 3 days in early January.

The role involves working in a team of 3 to pack 40 pallets of ice each shift. It is a mix of packing ice, operating ice manufacturing equipment, loading and unloading trucks, operating a forklift and cleaning. During our peak period, applicants may go on the trucks as 'runners' delivering ice across northern Tasmania.

Candidates must:

  • Be fit, strong and healthy. The work is physically demanding and fast paced.
  • Have a current Forklift License
  • Be motivated to work and able to commit to the season
  • Able to pass drug and alcohol testing if required
