We are a national Australian family owned and operated sea salt manufacturer and producer of high-quality salt and nutritional livestock supplementation blocks. This fulltime position is located at our premises at Port Alma, QLD. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who is passionate about their field, has a strong work ethic and can succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Site Manager.

About the Role

As a Factory Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency and quality are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee, manage and motivate a team of factory personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Driving WHS initiatives and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct regular Toolbox Talks and Safety meetings.
  • Train, educate and manage production personnel.
  • Implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and enhancing productivity, whilst maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Maintain an open and effective communication between all departments.

To be successful at this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to solve problems and think outside the box.
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP and WHS requirements.
  • Strong leadership qualities and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence others; and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A flexible attitude and team player mentality, essential in a family business, performing additional duties out of scope as required.
