About HESA
Health Education Services Australia (HESA) is a provider of health education, training, and accreditation services, established in 2018 by ANMAC. HESA's purpose is to enhance the quality of health education and training by offering expert services and independent accreditation, ensuring that health education programs meet national and international standards.
HESA provides:
· Professional experience placement evaluation services to health services, universities, and students through the National Placement Evaluation Centre (NPEC).
· Accreditation and quality assurance for health postgraduate programs and professional practice experiences.
About the Role
HESA is seeking an experienced and strategic Program Director (Quality Assurance) to oversee and further develop its quality assurance assessment of education programs.
Reporting to the Executive Lead, this role will drive the development, review, and enhancement of accreditation standards within the healthcare and education sectors, ensuring these reflect industry best practice and meet the needs of stakeholders.
You will lead stakeholder consultation processes, manage multiple projects, and identify opportunities for growth in HESA's services, all while ensuring the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and effectiveness.
This is a role for a collaborative leader who can think strategically, engage diverse stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outcomes in healthcare education accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Program Standards Development & Program Assessment
· Develop, review, and continuously improve program accreditation standards.
· Provide program assessment leadership, ensuring curriculum requirements are met by education providers and delivering constructive feedback.
· Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain integrity and consistency.
· Business Development
· Engage with stakeholders to expand the provision of standards and accreditation services.
· Identify and assess new opportunities in the health education sector.
· Build and maintain a strong reputation for excellence, quality, and integrity.
· Facilitate Stakeholder Consultation
· Lead consultations with educational institutions, regulatory bodies, healthcare providers, and industry experts.
· Chair committees and coordinate forums, workshops, and surveys to ensure diverse perspectives are reflected in standards.
Project Management
· Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
· Maintain a national register of accredited education programs.
· Reporting and Policy Development
· Provide regular reports to the Executive Lead.
· Contribute to policy development relating to standards and accreditation.
· Represent HESA at conferences, workshops, and meetings.
What we are looking for
Qualifications
· Postgraduate qualification in nursing, midwifery, education, or health.
Experience & Skills
· Strong knowledge of accreditation, regulatory frameworks, and the healthcare sector.
· Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance and standards development.
· Proven project management experience, including budget and resource management.
· Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform decision-making.
· Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
· Capacity for innovation and adaptability in a changing sector.

· Experience delivering effective and impartial standards development and program assessments.
