About the role

A unique opportunity to work a predominately Tuesday to Saturday schedule as a Chef . This role reports directly to Operations Managers and ensures the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.

Duties

  • Preparation and cooking of meals as per the set menu
  • Ensure meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
  • Communicating with Site Manager and Facility staff
  • Provide supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
  • Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices are maintained
  • Completion of food safety documentation
  • Maintain feedback monitoring processes
  • Adhere to budgets, stock take and regular ordering procedures
  • Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts

Skills & experience

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience in Aged Care preferred
  • Experience with Western Cooking
  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes
