About the role

Café Catalina is seeking an Experienced Barista, & Floor Section Wait Person to join our vibrant hospitality team in Southport, QLD. This is a part-time or fulltime position, offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our lively café. A management role may be considered depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing attentive and friendly table service to our customers
  • Taking food and beverage orders, communicating them accurately to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Serving food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Handling cash and card payments efficiently
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the dining and bar areas
  • Assisting with stock replenishment and other daily operational tasks as required
  • A fully experienced Barista

What we're looking for

  • At least 6 years of experience working in a similar bar and floor service role within the hospitality industry, will be considered for a management position if you have all round F&B experience including a great knowledge of wine?
  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant bar and floor service experience is required for the standard wait person position
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and the ability to make recommendations to customers
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • A positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude
  • Current Australian work rights are essential
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
