A unique opportunity is now available for an experienced QA Manager to join ARYZTA and lead the Quality Assurance function at our brand-new bakery, set to launch at the end of 2025/begining of 2026 in Nambeelup, WA (just 12 km from Mandurah and 60 km south of Perth).

About the Role:
Reporting to the QA Manager ANZ, the QA Manager WA will be responsible for developing, planning and directing in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure raw materials and finished products conform to ARYZTA quality specifications, standards, legislative compliance and customer expectations.
In this role you will play an instrumental part in in setting up the QA function at ARYZTA's new WA Bakery. You will set QA standards, foster a strong food safety culture and directly contribute to the successful start-up and ongoing success of the new site. You will bring a technical and customer focused mindset, a commitment to accountability, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and direct in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure that raw materials and finished products conform to ARZYTA quality specifications, standards and customer expectations. Reviews progress with QA Manager ANZ, and Site leadership regularly.
- Provide ongoing training and development of all employees concerning product quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ensure ARYZTA's food safety culture is lived and breathed by driving and coordinating the onsite food safety initiatives.
- Conduct product shelf-life, product evaluation and laboratory tests on an ongoing as needed basis and records and distributes all test results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure Vendor Assurance program is respected at the bakery.
- Conduct ongoing product research to identify areas of improvement for process control.
- Ensure compliance to the process of new and existing products from concept to launch.

We are looking for an experienced QA leader who is passionate about delivering quality solutions, is action oriented and has the ability to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Relevant qualification in Food Technology; Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology.
- QA Management experience in an FMCG environment (preferably food environment).
- Proven experience in leading, supporting, mentoring, and developing a high performing team.
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Internal Auditing, Australian Food Safety Legislation.
- Ability to communicate with confidence and influence.
- Great time management, organizational abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient skills in the MS Office suite.
