About the opportunity
Join a passionate and collaborative team driving positive change across Blacktown City Council.
We are seeking a individual to fill a Culture and Capability Officer position on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role plays a key part in shaping our organisational culture, with a strong focus on the day-to-day coordination of our Apprentice and Trainee Program, the delivery of our staff Rewards and Recognition Program, and the facilitation of essential training such as the Code of Conduct and Child Safe Standards courses.
This role also contributes to broader organisational development initiatives, project management, and cross-directorate collaboration to strengthen Council's culture and performance.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant Diploma qualifications in an appropriate field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar capacity
- Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing systems and processes to support cultural change
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of engagement and/or cultural surveys
- Demonstrated experience in the development of leadership programs
- Demonstrated experience in the application of capability and performance frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in change management
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Proven advanced written and verbal skills
- Computer literate
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Qualifications in change management
- Demonstrated experience in the development of Diversity and Inclusion strategies and actions
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Accredited workplace trainer assessor.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Car allowance
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
