About the Centre

 Sunkids Ormiston is a beautiful, purpose-built centre catering for 85 children aged 6 weeks to school age, across five modern and fully serviced learning rooms designed to inspire curiosity, connection, and growth.

About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Centre Manager to join our leadership team at Ormiston.
This role offers an excellent balance of on-floor engagement (2 days) and non-contact leadership time (3 days) each week — perfect for an experienced individual ready to advance their career.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, support, and inspire a high-performing team of educators
  • Deliver a high-quality, play-based and emergent curriculum
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children and staff
  • Build strong, positive relationships with families and the community
  • Assist with daily operations including enrolments, staff management, and administration
  • Support the Centre Manager to maintain compliance and exceed National Quality Standards

What You'll Bring

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum) or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Current Blue Card
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Child Protection Training Certificate (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025)
  • Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and QKLG
  • Experience with Qikkids software and prior experience as an Assistant Manager (highly regarded)
  • A passion for leadership and continuous improvement
