Applications are invited for a full-time temporary Deputy Principal commencing 22 January 2026.

This key leadership role will drive strategic initiatives that strengthen student post-school pathways, enhance transitions, and build strong connections across education, industry, and community.

The position offers the opportunity to make a significant regional impact while being based at either the Far North Queensland Cairns Regional Office or the Atherton Regional Office.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

The Deputy Principal Senior Pathways and Transitions is responsible for overseeing the curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment for years 11 and 12, ensuring students can achieve their QCE/QCIA, and managing the transition pathways to university, TAFE, or employment.The desirable applicant will have sound curriculum knowledge and an expertise in student transition programs and partnerships.

  • Senior Schooling Leadership:Lead and manage all aspects of senior schooling, including curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
  • Student Pathways:Develop and manage transition pathways to university, vocational training, and employment.
  • Compliance and Attainment:Ensure compliance with QCAA requirements and support student attainment of the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA).
