The Role: We are seeking an intermediate to senior bookkeeper who is motivated, an excellent communicator, and driven to excel in their career. Bring your sharp eye for detail and people-first leadership to a role where you'll work hand-in-hand with a Senior Manager and collaborate daily with an experienced offshore team. You'll support a major client group spanning multiple entities and industries (retail, construction, mining and farming), with direct exposure to stakeholders and the opportunity to work with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own day‑to‑day bookkeeping across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare end‑of‑month management reports, reconciliations and journal entries
  • Oversee payroll processing, debtors, creditors and compliance; resolve client queries
  • Work with Senior Manager to streamline processes and improve controls
  • Coordinate tasks with the offshore team to meet deadlines and KPIs
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the client's operational leaders

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, Xero and payroll processing
  • Xero expertise and experience with apps such as Deputy and Dext
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong understanding of payroll (awards, entitlements, super, STP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience preparing EOM management reports and journal entries
  • Team‑focused mindset with the ability to build productive relationships across onshore and offshore teams
  • Strong applicants will have previous experience managing or mentoring others
