The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Product and Process Owner to provide a critical role within Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination

About the Business Unit

The FAS was highly anticipated by victims and stakeholders and represents a major leap forward in government's response to victims of crime. Established under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022, the FAS provides financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. The FAS acknowledges harm done and is trauma informed, inclusive and culturally safe.

About the Role

The Product and Process Owner is responsible for managing the FAS ICT products and business processes to deliver payments to victims of crime. The role works closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and subject matter experts, to lead ongoing development and improvement of key FAS ICT products. This includes a new Salesforce Case Management System, website, contact centre, integrations and reporting tools.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Manage and deliver improvements to FAS business systems and processes through planning, prioritisation and effectively managing stakeholders and SMEs to support delivery
  • Develop product plans and roadmaps and engage all relevant stakeholders and team members
  • Work in partnership with SMEs to identify and understand needs and develop clear and accurate business requirements

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in one or more of the following: Case Management Systems (including portals, communication channels, forms and knowledge management), website, phone software, integrations and reporting tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICT development cycles, testing practices and the ability to understand technical issues and requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex technology projects, preferably within government.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and improving processes.

Qualifications

  • A qualification in a related field is highly desirable.
