CNC Machine Operator / Programmer
In Defence & Toolmaking Industry.

Toolcraft Australia, Mitchell & Cheesman, trusted names in precision engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator / Programmer to join our dedicated team. Specializing in high tolerance components for the Defence and toolmaking industries. We pride ourselves on delivering quality, reliability and craftsmanship in every project.

This is a hands on role suited for someone with machining and programming skills who thrives on technical challenges and producing industry-critical parts. opportunity available for production setters to develop and further their skills to start programming.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Setup, operate and program CNC machines, mills and lathes, including large production runs.
  • Interpret & work from detailed engineering drawings, CAD models and technical documentation.
  • Manufacture complex components for Defence contracts and custom tooling applications.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to meet tight tolerances and strict quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve machining or programming issues independently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe & efficient working environment.

Requirements;

  • Ability to interpret and work accurately from technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Strong problem solving skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experience in the Defence or tooling industry preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a skilled, close-knit team.

Our Company works in the Australian Defence Sector therefore a security clearance my be required for this role, therefore applicants must be Australian Citizens.
