Located in beautiful Goondiwindi, Kaloma is a community-based, not-for-profit aged care home where residents are supported to maintain their emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing in a safe, tranquil environment.
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse (CN) to join our caring team and help lead our clinical and allied health services.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager and working closely with the Director of Nursing, you'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for our residents, while supporting and mentoring nursing and care staff.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Registered Nurse who values teamwork, professional growth and meaningful community impact.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and advanced nursing care in collaboration with the Clinical Manager and DON.
- Oversee and support the delivery of safe, person-centred care for all residents.
- Conduct and review assessments, care plans and documentation to meet Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Mentor and guide nursing and care staff to achieve excellent resident outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals to ensure best-practice care.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
- Support education and professional development for staff.
- Maintain compliance with all legislative and clinical governance requirements.
You're a confident and compassionate leader who combines clinical expertise with genuine care for older people. You enjoy working collaboratively and supporting others to deliver the highest standards of care.
Essential:
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA Registration
- Experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting
- Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A caring, patient and empathetic approach to residents and families
- Australian work rights and current or willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check
