Melbourne, Victoria, Australia PPG Industries Full time $60,000 - $100,000 per year

Using MRP principles and working within inventory policies, the incumbent will ensure a consistent flow of materials into the plant, maximizing the opportunities presented by lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate Master data for MRP controller responsible (Safety stocks, Lead time, Lot size procedure, Lot size)
  • Collaborate with procurement to review opportunities to reduce supply disruption, lead time & lot size.
  • Raise PO / STO based on SAP required date, Confirm PO based on supplier feedback and engage problem-solving related to service level for production planner and first line manager
  • Maintaining correct delivery dates on all open orders.
  • Working closely with the market team to ensure agreed understanding of demand, including priorities, timelines and customer requirements
  • Reporting on reasons for OTIF failures for purchased finished goods and providing input to the S&OP meetings
  • Root cause analysis investigations into the causes of materials being late / Excess invenory
  • Maintain a Development plan
  • Adhere to standard work – daily, monthly & quarterly activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Previous experience preferred – SAP, ERP skills, Microsoft office suite
  • Education (required) – Bachelor's degree
  • Other preferred qualifications (preferred) – APICS certification
