ICT Project Manager - Transition & Operational Support

  • Contract Term: Full-time until 30 June 2026
  • Location: Canberra, ACT, Fully Onsite

  • Australian citizenship with NV1 Security clearance

Are you an experienced ICT Project Manager with a strong background in public sector delivery and stakeholder engagement? We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the transition of ICT services from an internal model to a shared services arrangement with another government department.

This role is critical to ensuring a smooth, secure, and value-driven transition, while also providing technical and managerial support to an in-house ICT team of four staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy aligned with agency goals.
  • Lead the transition of ICT services to a shared services provider, ensuring continuity, value for money, and fit-for-purpose outcomes.
  • Provide strategic and technical advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand and deliver on technology needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across internal and external teams.
  • Manage contracts, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure IT systems and data security, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day ICT operations, including staff, budgets, and resources.
