- Dedicated Collaboration Time: Weekly planning sessions ensure you have time to collaborate with your team and engage in meaningful professional learning. With your 20 hours of face-to-face teaching, we prioritise effectiveness, engagement, and joy in the classroom.
- Supportive Leadership: Our leadership team is committed to mentoring and guiding all staff, with particular care and structure for graduate teachers through a formalised mentoring program.
- Classroom Support: Every classroom is supported by dedicated Learning Support Officers to enhance student learning and enable targeted teaching.
Key Selection Criteria:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic educator who brings energy, skill, and heart to their teaching. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Commitment to Catholic Identity: A respect for, and understanding of, the Catholic ethos and the mission of Catholic education.
- Relevant Accreditation: VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to undertake accreditation).
- Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset with a commitment to being an active and positive member of the teaching team.
- Differentiated Practice: A strong grasp of personalised and differentiated learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Instructional Expertise: Proven capability in delivering explicit instruction in key areas such as Literacy and Numeracy.
- Student Wellbeing Awareness: An understanding of strategies that support wellbeing and enhance engagement.
- Relational Strengths: The ability to build trusting, learning-focused relationships with students and families.
- Communication Skills: Clear, respectful, and effective communication with children, families, colleagues, and the wider school community.
- Community Engagement: A willingness to get involved in the life of the school through participation in school events and initiatives.
- Commitment to Growth: A reflective practitioner who is open to feedback, learning, and ongoing improvement.
- Digital Confidence: Competence in using technology to support learning – experience with Google Workspace and Seesaw is advantageous.
