Pre Construction Administrator

The Opportunity:

Due to our ongoing growth and success, we are looking for an additional skilled Administrator to join our tight knit team in the Pre-Construction Department with an attention to detail who can work autonomously & collaboratively with a wide range of skill levels. If you are looking to enter into the residential construction industry with future potential growth into Contract Administration or Estimating then this is the role for you.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the residential home industry with experience in contracts administration would be looked upon favourably.
  • Ability to understand and interpret building contracts and plans.
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Fluent language skills i.e. speaking, writing, understanding reading (English)
  • Strong Numeracy & Literacy Skills
  • A strong focus on customer service.
  • Good Time Management Skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite. i.e. outlook, word, excel essential.
  • Skills in taking the initiative, prioritising, and multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment.
  • To be successful in this role, you must be knowledgeable, diligent, and analytical, be open to change and have a positive "can do" attitude.
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Your duties will include, though not limited to:

  • Processing and administering Client Contracts
  • Interpret contractual documentation and specifications.
  • Creation of pre- and post-contract variations.
  • Complete thorough File Reviews prior to Construction.
  • Issuing job orders to Construction, Suppliers & Contractors once all approvals are received
  • Submit and manage online applications for Plan SA, encumbrance managers, certifiers, local council, CITB levy, and Builders warranty insurance.
  • Manage council RFI's and drive planning outcomes
  • Ensure Clients are kept up to date.
  • Liaise with clients regarding finance approvals.
  • Liaise with the sales team, suppliers, council, utility providers and approved authorities.
  • Perform general office administration duties, including file management, answering phone calls and emails.
  • Experience within a similar role will be an advantage.
