The Change and Adoption Manager plays a critical role in the successful implementation of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Client Management System (MHWCMS) across Victorian service providers. This position is responsible for coordinating engagement activities with service providers during both the onboarding and implementation phases, ensuring that stakeholders are informed, supported, and actively involved throughout the transition.
The Change and Adoption Manager will lead change management and adoption initiatives to drive uptake and ensure sustained use of the MHWCMS platform. The role will also liaise closely with technical and policy workstreams to ensure onboarding materials are accurate, accessible, and aligned with service provider needs. By fostering collaboration, managing risks, and promoting readiness, this role is pivotal to achieving implementation success and delivering improved outcomes for mental health service delivery in Victoria.

About You
The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Project Officer to lead change and adoption activities for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Client Management System project.
This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership and a strategic approach to successfully support the implementation of a complex, state-wide digital transformation initiative. You will play a key role in driving cultural and behavioural change across the mental health and wellbeing service system, ensuring staff are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the transition.
We are looking for someone who can confidently communicate complex information in both written and verbal formats. You will prepare high-level reports, briefs, and correspondence with clarity and precision, adapting your style to meet the needs of different audiences. Your verbal communication and presentation skills will help you influence stakeholders, deliver compelling messages, and handle challenging discussions with professionalism.
Success in this role requires a proactive change leader who understands the risks of inaction and can effectively promote the benefits of transformation. You will apply broad influencing strategies to overcome resistance, build strong relationships, and maintain momentum in a dynamic environment. Resilience, optimism, and a solutions-focused mindset are key.
