Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the storage, movement, and organization of goods within a warehouse. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage solutions, and preparing/loading goods for shipment. The Warehouse Operator will contribute to the smooth operation of the warehouse and ensure that goods are handled safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Picking and Packing Orders:

  • Select items from the warehouse based on customer orders, ensuring correct products and quantities are picked.
  • Pack items securely, labeling them accurately for shipment to customers or other locations.
  • Follow all packing guidelines to ensure products are protected during transit.

Shipping and Dispatch:

  • Prepare orders for shipping by organizing and labeling packages and coordinating with shipping carriers.
  • Load goods into delivery vehicles while ensuring the safe handling and secure placement of items.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurately completed and included with orders.

Warehouse Organisation:

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring proper labeling of aisles and shelves.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures and guidelines are adhered to, including proper lifting techniques and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.

Material Handling and Equipment Operation:

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet wrapping machine to move goods efficiently.
  • Safely operate equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory storage systems, such as shelving and racking.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Full Australian working rights necessary
  • Forklift License
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in order picking, inventory tracking, and packing.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle discrepancies or issues with inventory and shipments.

  • Working Hours: Mon-Friday 7:00am – 4:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
  • Full-time salary (Negotiable based on Exp) + Super
