As a CO2 Plant Engineer, you will ensure safe, efficient, reliable and continuous operation of the site, and to meet the set KPIs and provide quality assured gasses for external and internal customers.

This is a full-time permanent role, 38 hours per week, based in Torrens Island, SA 5015.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
  • Ensure highest level of safety and site reliability
  • Manage the site team and liaise with the SIO (Smart Innovative Operations) center to maintain a constant supply of standard products in the best safety and reliable level
  • Coordinate with the maintenance staff the daily routine or breakdown works necessary to keep the desire productions
  • Act as the focal point for customer, regulatory bodies and unions
  • Ensure all the safety procedures are in place and applied by the local teams and participate in audits and implementation process through documentation control
  • Ensure that plant efficiency improvement programs are devised and implemented in partnership with Facility Managers, ASU Support Managers and SIO (Smart and Innovative Operations) team
  • Develop operational standards and KPI's which will show plant performance against specific targets
  • Seek and implement new strategies to reduce operational costs.
  • Support for the reporting of Large Industries activities including board reports and reliability, availability and efficiency reporting for the site.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in industrial gas industry specifically in CO2 operations is ideal
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations such as dangerous goods/substances handling and occupational health and safety
  • Solution-focused decision making
  • Actively promotes work health and safety
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing demands with follow through to completion
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, safety rules, operating instructions and procedures from different sources
