We're seeking a highly capable Risk and Compliance Officer to join our client's Finance team for a 3-month temp role based in the Adelaide CBD. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a hands-on role ideal for a professional with strong government experience and a background in policy development, who can hit the ground running and deliver meaningful outcomes quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, edit, and update organisational policies in line with government standards
  • Rapidly integrate into teams and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Engage with line managers to assess current practices against governance requirements
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend practical improvements
  • Lead the uplift and implementation of updated policies
  • Contribute to strengthening risk mitigation and governance frameworks across the organisation

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in the government sector (essential)
  • Strong policy development knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, confident communicator who can quickly build rapport and gather insights
  • Ability to work independently and productively within tight timeframes
