An exciting opportunity to be the Senior Financial Accountant in our internal Finance team for Pitcher Partners Brisbane team.
Your new career:
The role of the Senior Financial Accountant is to manage the financial service function of the partnership by taking responsibility for several advanced tasks centred around accounting and compliance while continuing to improve the accounting function.
Including:
- Tax compliance including PAYG withholding / instalments, BAS, FBT, payroll tax, stamp duty, STP reporting;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including regular analytical review, comparison to budget;
- Day to day management of the finance team and overall finance function of the firm
- Cashflow management, reporting and analysis;
- Monitoring / management of bank debt position, including monitoring / reporting annual covenants/
- Reconciliation of partnership equity accounts including maintenance of capital / current accounts reconciliation;
- Ad-hoc reporting as required
You will also be working closely with the other members of the practice management team.
What you will bring:
We are seeking a motivated individual to work with our wide range of internal clients.
To be successful in this role your qualities, skills and knowledge will include:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably within a professional services firm
- Experience with utilising an integrated professional practice system (ERP), preferably MYOB Acumatica or similar;
- Experience with Partnership / trust / AFSL / corporate accounting will be highly preferred
- Good leadership skills – small team where working well together is critical
- Initiative
- Be prepared to be hands on.
