Role Overview

We are seeking an organised, reliable and trustworthy housekeeper in a long-term/Part Time 3 days / 4 hours per day role to support our busy family located in Avalon. You will support us with keeping our household clean and running smoothly. This role includes general cleaning as well as support with domestic duties such as laundry, washing, and occasional household tasks to ensure the home is comfortable and well-kept.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Cleaning: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing surfaces, and wiping down furniture,
  • Bathroom & Kitchen Care: Cleaning sinks, toilets, showers, baths, benches, stovetops, and appliances.
  • Laundry & Washing: Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and household linen as required.
  • Tidying & Organisation: Making beds, changing sheets, and keeping living areas orderly, maintaining cupboards
  • Waste Management: Emptying bins, recycling, and ensuring rubbish is taken out regularly.
  • Occasional Tasks: Window cleaning, wiping down cupboards, cleaning fridges/ovens etc. and other seasonal deep-cleaning jobs.
  • Household Support: Assisting with simple errands (if requested), restocking household items, and ensuring the home is welcoming and hygienic.

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Respectful of household privacy and confidentiality.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing household needs.
Experience & Requirements
  • Previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of safe cleaning practices and product use.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing for periods).
  • Must be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia (no working/Holiday Visa applicants will be considered.)
  • References required.
  • Must have an ABN
  • Police check essential
  • Two recent references
  • Hourly rate is based upon your experience.
