About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to project management, system design and construction, and associated disciplines including systems and controls. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will develop a strong understanding of Aqualand's project delivery approach and contribute to the successful execution of high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and monitoring short- and mid-term construction and procurement schedules.
- Support the Site Engineer in establishing and tracking procurement processes, including sample approvals and document control.
- Help develop and monitor production planning schedules across assigned disciplines.
- Assist in subcontractor and supplier procurement by:
o Issuing and tracking NDAs
o Collecting technical documentation
o Managing tender lists and distribution
o Supporting tender evaluations and issuing addendums
- Manage document control by tracking workflows, approvals, and filing drawings, reports, and samples per Aqualand standards.
- Support subcontractor and supplier supervision to ensure compliance with Aqualand's Construction Integrated Management System and HSEQ policies.
- Track on-site controls and assist in documenting delays.
- Attend subcontractor meetings, present plans, take minutes, and follow up on actions and deadlines.
- Assist with subcontractor progress claims administration.
- Distribute new drawings and reports to the team via transmittals.
- Organise team meetings, take minutes, and ensure timely distribution.
- Help develop and maintain QA documentation including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and defect tracking.
- Manage onboarding checklists for subcontractors, ensuring documentation is submitted, validated, and filed correctly.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Basic MS Office skills.
- Conceptual understanding of programming.
- Strong commitment to providing a high standard of customer service.
- Ability to multitask.
- Well-developed verbal and written skills.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and professionalism.
- Intermediate administration skills – organised, thorough, systems orientated with meticulous attention to detail.
