Are you someone who thrives on helping others learn and grow in a safety-focused environment? As our WHS Trainer, you'll play a key role in building a strong safety culture through learning at our
Vales Point Power Station
.
You'll design and deliver engaging health and safety training that empowers our people to work safely and confidently every day.
What You'll Do
- Create and Deliver Training: Develop and run engaging programs on topics like manual handling, emergency response and more. You'll also coordinate external providers and create blended learning solutions including e-learning modules.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Work closely with leaders and teams to identify training needs, offer expert advice and ensure learning strategies align with business goals.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments and incident data. You'll recommend improvements and help foster a positive learning culture across the site.
- Keep Things on Track: Maintain accurate training records, monitor completion rates and prepare reports on compliance and learning outcomes. You'll also support audits with relevant documentation.
What You'll Bring
- Qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Training and Assessment or a related field
- Experience developing and delivering WHS training programs
- A solid understanding of WHS legislation and compliance
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Confidence using learning management systems and Microsoft Office
Ideally, You'll Have The Following
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Experience with risk management and incident investigation
- Familiarity with e-learning tools
