About Quality, Participation and Connections (QPC)

Join a dynamic and collaborative team in the Quality, Participation and Connections directorate. Our work operates at a systems level to enhance inclusion and outcomes for all children. We bring together policy, program design, and implementation, while also playing a key role in building connections and leading engagement with partners across the sector, supporting initiatives that enhance the quality and inclusivity of early learning experiences.

About the role

As Assistant Programs Officer, you will play a key role in supporting projects and programs that empower teachers and educators the ability to deliver high-quality pedagogy and practice, helping to create positive outcome for children.

Your responsibility will include:

  • Coordinating and tracking of policy related projects to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Contributing to policy development and implementation by undertaking research and analysis and preparations of correspondence, reports and minutes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement by organising working groups and committees
  • Provide accurate advice and information to policy queries.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • This position is designated for the employment of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
