Your Impact:

As Senior Innovation Manager for Beer & Cider, you will shape the future innovation pipeline for Asahi's iconic beer and cider brands, including Great Northern, Carlton, VB, Asahi Super Dry, and Somersby. This is a strategic role focused on developing a clear, sustainable innovation roadmap that protects and grows the category in an evolving market. You will lead consumer insights, category exploration, and cross-functional collaboration to bring future-forward ideas from concept to commercialisation, driving long-term growth and category leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own a 12-36 month innovation pipeline aligned to business and customer needs, filling gaps where direction is undefined
  • Lead expansive insight work and category exploration to uncover new platforms and opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key customers to gain support and embed innovation in the category strategy
  • Seamlessly integrate visionary strategic thinking with disciplined execution and operational excellence
  • Lead new product development initiatives with a focus on consumer insight, testing, and research
  • Be front and centre in clarifying briefs, solving big questions, and steering the future direction of the beer and cider portfolio

About You:

  • 7 to 9 years' experience in innovation or brand strategy within a blue-chip FMCG environment
  • Proven ability to develop strategic innovation pipelines from scratch with strong new product development experience
  • Expert at uncovering deep consumer insights, exploring category opportunities, and generating visionary ideas that push boundaries
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and complex problem solving
  • Demonstrated resilience and the ability to manage long-term projects with diverse stakeholder views
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the beer category and market dynamics, with a genuine interest in the industry and its consumers
  • Proven ability to build consensus and secure stakeholder alignment across diverse internal teams and external partners
  • Driven by curiosity and strategic foresight, proactively challenging conventions to unlock new opportunities and deliver impactful results
