The Role: First Nations Business Care Traineeship

Location: Docklands VIC

Duration: 12-month Traineeship, Full time, 38 hours per week

Career: Launch a Career within Business Banking at Australia's largest Bank

As a Business Centre Trainee, you will join the Business Care team to learn to support small and medium size business customers, connecting via phone to understand their needs and provide transaction banking and working commercial solutions.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Respond to incoming calls from business owners and resolve enquiries
  • Navigate multiple systems, update and maintain client files
  • Recommend relevant financial services and solutions
  • Coach customers to use digital banking tools
  • Escalate and delegate customer needs where required
  • Work in a contact centre helping real business solve real problems

About You:

To be successful in this traineeship, you'll need:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and meet customer needs, and be solution focused
  • Genuine passion for helping business owners start up, grow and run their business
  • Ability to want to learn and understand a wide array of business solutions
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Phone-based customer service would be highly regarded

Role Requirements:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous customer service or administration experience (highly desirable)
