We have a ClinicalLead position available inour Brookvale headspace office.
This is a definedterm contract role until end June 2026.
The headspaceClinical Lead provides leadership that facilitates the ongoing development ofclinical practice at headspace Brookvale and is responsible for thedevelopment, implementation, monitoring and review of the clinical governanceframework.The role involves providing high level clinical consultationand advice to clinicians (both salaried and contracted staff) to build capacityand ensure the delivery of high quality youth mental health.
The Clinical Leadwill provide clinical supervision, and is actively involved in quality projectsand working with other services and partners in the community. The positionwill also provide high level advice to support strategic and operationalplanning for the clinical services.
The successfulapplicant will become a key staff member within the headspace leadership team.Key relationships include youth access clinicians, Psychologists, SocialWorkers, General Practitioners and government and non-government serviceproviders.
The Clinical Leadrole presents an excellent next step for a senior clinician interested intaking on a leadership role that utilises their clinical knowledge andexperience.
What you needto have:
Recognised tertiary qualification in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or other relevant field.
Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Post-qualifying experience, including demonstrated experience and in depth understanding of therapeutic modalities, mental health assessment and practice relevant to young people (aged years).
Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to crisis and high-risk situations, when required.
Demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family members and carers seeking help in a nonjudgmental manner
Demonstrated experience working with young people with mental health and related problems including substance abuse, physical health, and vocational/educational problems.
Demonstrated experience providing supervision, for staff and/or students.
Current Police Check (not older than 3 months)
NDIS Worker Check and NSW Working with Children Check
Valid NSW drivers licence, with ability to drive vehicles in licence C class,
