About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Finance Division, including Information Systems and Purchasing. You will also oversee the implementation of Hyatt's Purpose, Values, and Leadership Behaviours, ensuring compliance with financial management standards and relevant legislative requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Aligning departmental activities with the Corporate Finance Strategy and implementing hotel actions accordingly.
Ensuring compliance with government-mandated associate and tax legislations.
Maintaining all ledgers, journals, and other accounting records of the hotel.
Compiling and submitting corporate, regional, hotel, and governmental reports.
Collaborating with the General Manager and Department Heads to develop budgets and forecasts for all hotel activities.
Reviewing and approving monthly journal entries, balance sheets, and income statements.
Preparing and interpreting financial statements and reports for the hotel and communicating with owners.
Leading and managing the Business Plan processes.
Managing Hyatt and hotel insurance matters in collaboration with local brokers.
Applying a growth mindset aligned with Hyatt's Ways of Working philosophy.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in Accounting or Corporate Finance.
CPA or CA qualification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Hotel Director of Finance or similar role.
Understanding of Australian accounting laws is advantageous.
Strong data analysis skills.
Proactive attitude with strong leadership capabilities.
Highly motivated, solutions-oriented self-starter with a flexible team approach.
