Overview
Role: Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Salary range: AUD 108, ,893 (Annual Gross) (indicative; may be enhanced based on internal processes)
Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience; SRE Lead Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Defining SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for reliability.
Monitoring system performance and reducing toil.
Capacity planning and scaling.
Automating reliability improvements.
Main Goal: Ensure production systems are reliable, performant, and scalable.
Approach: Focuses on reducing downtime, preventing failures, and maintaining system stability.
Common Backgrounds: Software Engineering, DevOps, Operations, Cloud Engineering.
Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
Preferred: Strong Azure cloud background with IAC skill
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly motivated self-driven with a positive attitude.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
