Overview

Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Salary range: AUD 108,571- 119,893 (Annual Gross) (indicative; may be enhanced based on internal processes)

Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience; SRE Lead Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Primary Focus: Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Defining SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for reliability.
  • Monitoring system performance and reducing toil.
  • Capacity planning and scaling.
  • Automating reliability improvements.
  • Main Goal: Ensure production systems are reliable, performant, and scalable.
  • Approach: Focuses on reducing downtime, preventing failures, and maintaining system stability.
  • Common Backgrounds: Software Engineering, DevOps, Operations, Cloud Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
  • Preferred: Strong Azure cloud background with IAC skill
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated self-driven with a positive attitude.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
