What You'll Do Lead all aspects of property maintenance and facilities management across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and long-term capital plans
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and local regulations, including fire life safety protocols
Coordinate external contractors for repairs, refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades
Monitor and manage energy usage and implement cost-saving sustainability strategies
Maintain departmental budgets, manage inventory, and report on key operational data
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for all Engineering team members
Collaborate with hotel leadership on new projects and operational improvements
What You Bring A Diploma in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
A minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar role, with at least 4 years in an executive engineering position within a luxury hotel or resort
Strong technical knowledge and experience across engineering systems, building compliance, and asset management
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team
A detailed understanding of fire life safety requirements within the hospitality industry
A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organisational and reporting skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement
