Chief Engineer for Transmission Energy Projects

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to lead the design of innovative engineering solutions for transmission energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving project success and ensuring that our infrastructure meets the highest standards.
About the Role:
You will work closely with our Project Engineering Manager to navigate complex challenges and deliver high-impact energy infrastructure projects.
Develop and implement Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) solutions that meet our customers' needs and regulatory requirements.
Lead the creation, enhancement, and governance of our engineering specifications and design scopes to ensure consistency and excellence.
Influence and negotiate major customer connections to our networks, delivering cost-effective solutions that meet safety and quality expectations.
Review and evaluate engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in transmission terminal and substation design.
Practical understanding of utility power system requirements and operational constraints.
Skilled in delivering engineering design advice and developing concept and detailed designs.
Mandatory qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Eligibility for Professional Membership of Engineers Australia.
Exceptional skills in solving technical challenges and making confident decisions in complex scenarios.
Proven ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams and manage stakeholder engagement.
