driving strategic thinking and the development of policy advice to shape the future of the Victorian public sector
setting standards and monitoring sector performance
providing authoritative leadership and advice on Victorian public sector professionalism and integrity matters. The role requires a strong passion and commitment for public service and driving capability, professionalism, engagement, and integrity. The role oversees three VPS 6 managers and an overall Branch of ~ 15 people. This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative executive team and leadership environment. Skilled in leading strategy, policy and performance monitoring and reporting

Demonstrated experience in policy and strategy development, in areas such as public administration, capability and / or integrity
A strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solving
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including the capacity to build teams and steward teams through change
Strong experience in working with stakeholders across government and in building constructive, long-term relationships
Experience in working across a range of Victorian or other jurisdictions' public sector agencies in policy development and strategy roles
A relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration, law or a similar area.
