We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.
Job Summary
The Director, Site Operations, APAC is responsible for leading LabConnect's operations across the APAC region and overseeing the Biospecimen Operations line of business. This role ensures operational excellence across accessioning, biorepository management, clinical kit building and related functions. The Director will drive strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a confident, positive, and visionary leader aligned with LabConnect's mission and values.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure infrastructure, systems, and personnel support scalable, repeatable, and high-quality operations.
Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs aligned with corporate standards.
Promote a culture of trust, flexibility, and accountability.
Lead and develop team members, fostering a performance-driven and engaged workforce.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including laboratory affiliates.
Develops and maintains positive, long-term, and successful relationships with key business partners including, but not limited to laboratory affiliates.
Communicates regularly with the Global Central Lab Services Lead and others on Company's leadership team.
Develop and execute strategic plans for start-up, growth, and expansion of clinical central lab operations across the APAC region.
Lead recruitment, training, and retention efforts to build a high-performing team.
Biospecimen Operations and Clinical Trial Materials
Directly manage accessioning, biorepository, and kit building teams across APAC.
Accurately forecast labor needs and manage resources to meet operational demands.
Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentoring to support employee development.
Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, and consistency.
Address client needs and recommend process enhancements to optimize service delivery.
Monitor and act on operational metrics to ensure quality and profitability.
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations, as well as internal SOPs.
Collaborate with the Training Department to enhance training programs and career development tools.
Support the Global Laboratory Partner program and liaise with Quality and Regulatory Services for vendor qualification and issue resolution.
Works with the leadership to support our Global Laboratory Partner program.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree such as a Master's (MBA/MS) is strongly preferred. A PhD is considered an asset.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a management role within a clinical or central laboratory environment.
Prior experience as a CAP Director preferred.
Experience in start-up or scaling operations within the clinical laboratory or diagnostics industry is highly desirable.

Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
Deep understanding of clinical trial lifecycle and laboratory processes.
Expertise in regulatory compliance (GLP, GxP, ISO
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
