About the Role We are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Solution Architect / Systems Engineer to lead a critical Exchange migration project for a role based in Victoria. This role requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem and Cloud) , with a strong focus on system integration, security, and cloud readiness .
Responsibilities and Accountabilities Lead and execute the migration of On-Prem Exchange to Cloud, with the goal of decommissioning the on-prem environment.
Architect and implement Exchange login capabilities and SMTP relay connections.
Integrate Proofpoint into the cloud environment, ensuring secure and compliant email delivery.
Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption.
Develop and deliver technical documentation, handover materials, and operational readiness plans.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Exchange, SMTP, and Proofpoint integration.
Requirements and Experience Proven expertise in Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem and Cloud) environments.
Strong background as a Solution Architect and/or Systems Engineer in enterprise settings.
Experience with SMTP relay configuration and Exchange authentication mechanisms .
Hands-on experience with Proofpoint integration in cloud-based email systems.
Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Previous experience in healthcare or government environments.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and project documentation standards.
4-month contract with potential for extension.
