We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Flood Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Responsibilities Preparation of flood studies, floodplain management plans and risk assessments
Communication of flood conditions, government compliance requirements and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream properties
Manage communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of quality and timely solutions
Collaborate with other Orion teams to deliver various projects across QLD
Coordination of resources including team members, third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to the plan
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
Ensure quality control processes are implemented and documented
Assist in managing project budgets, invoicing and variations where required
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external
Address client queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Skills and Expertise Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
6+ years of experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projects
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management techniques
Proficiency in TUFLOW, DRAINS/XP-Rafts, and MUSIC
Strong client management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
Experience using MS Office and MS Project (desirable)
