Our Retail and Consumer Division is seeking a Head of Transport Solution Design to lead the innovation and optimisation of our transport networks across Australia and beyond. You'll lead a high-performing team of solution designers and analysts in delivering scalable, future-ready transport models, overseeing end-to-end design and driving collaboration between Sales, Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer teams. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping our 4PL and asset-light strategies, using data-driven insights and advanced modelling tools to deliver sustainable, efficient, and commercially viable transport models.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of Toll's transport solution design strategy aligned with growth and customer priorities.
Design and optimise national and regional transport networks using scenario modelling, route optimisation, and service configuration.
Collaborate across Sales, Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer teams to ensure integrated, end-to-end solution delivery.
Champion the development of robust commercial models to inform pricing strategies, tenders, and investment cases.
Evaluate and balance asset-based, hybrid, and 4PL models to optimise for cost, flexibility, and service performance.
Embed digital capabilities, analytics, and automation into solution design tools and methodologies.
Drive quality assurance and governance, ensuring compliance with COR, risk protocols, and audit standards.
Serve as a senior advisor during customer engagements, including tender presentations and innovation workshops.
Qualifications & Requirements Relevant university degree in transport, logistics, supply chain, or related discipline (essential).
Minimum 10 years of experience in transport solution design or supply chain strategy, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation or optimisation projects across complex networks.
Expertise in commercial modelling, cost-to-serve analysis, and strategic network design.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across technical and commercial domains.
Proficiency in transport optimisation tools (e.g. CAST, Llamasoft, RouteSmart) and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse, cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
