The Role Backend Engineer – As a Backend Engineer at ezyCollect, you'll design and build impactful products and services that help businesses thrive. Working within one of our delivery teams, you will take ownership of backend systems, continuously improve their performance, and see firsthand how your work enhances the lives of users.
The Role Responsibilities Develop and improve ezyCollect features, ensuring code is secure, well-tested, and high-performing.
Take initiative in managing tasks, anticipating issues, and communicating effectively.
Proactively propose solutions with clear analyses of their pros and cons.
Identify areas of technical debt, propose solutions, and lead their implementation.
Maintain and improve team standards for code style, maintainability, and best practices, including through code reviews.
Collaborate with the team to deploy features and improvements efficiently. Promote accountability and ownership within the team while building trust.
The Role Requirements 4+ years of experience in software development or equivalent.
2+ years in backend development for multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS software.
Proficiency in: Java, Spring, or Spring Boot
Decoupled and event-driven architectures
Secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions
Microservices
AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS)
Strong communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications (The more the better) Experience in fast-paced FinTech or SaaS environments.
Expertise in designing APIs as modular building blocks for future products.
Experience building workflow execution apps with technologies such as Temporal, Step Functions, or others.
Experience with modern User and API authentication and authorization implementations.
Working experience with Kubernetes.
The Ideal Candidate Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-crafted code.
