As the Area Sales Manager for our Food team you will interact with a diverse group of IGA retailers across the Metro Inner West area. You will help drive store standards, sell initiatives to improve their business, develop strategies and enhance and support customer service and safety standards.

**What you'll do**:
Build and develop working relationships with your retailers and become their conduit between the retailer and the Metcash state office

Be able to influence retailers to support them in creating profitable and sustainable businesses

Drive operational excellence and ensure store standards as well as pricing and promotional compliance is met

Ensure product, pricing, ranging and service levels are met

Drive and review sales plans and support promotional activities or events with your retailer

**What you’ll bring**:
Grocery retail management knowledge and sales experience in the retail supermarket sector at store manager or muti-site level

Strong understanding of Fresh & Produce in terms of food safety and compliance, product knowledge etc.

Expertise in drawing consumer and store insights from data to inform and conduct business management, strategic planning, and problem-solving in the retailer supermarket sector

Influencing skills and ability to rapidly establish trust and build relations with retailers

Demonstrate effective promotional and sales skills
