The Role

Support the Head of Planning in strategic initiatives to support successful execution of the MTP. You will be involved in Channel & Store optimisation, WMS/OFC integration and other ad-hoc planning team support.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed grading analysis by department and store to ensure that stores are receiving the correct amount and correct mix of products
- Based on historical analysis provide a seasonal option framework by store type and grade.
- Work closely with VM and Retail regarding stock planning to ensure that we have the correct stock levels in stores and plan for new store openings.
- Conduct analysis to understand differences between channels
- Support with new channel planning
- Conduct weekly FP/MD analysis by store providing feedback on consolidations.
- Regular store visits with actionable follow up
- Liaise with Allocation Analysts and state managers on store needs, stock transfers and gridding of stores, plus identify and drive opportunities at store level.
- Introduce options and sales per linear reporting to better understand store performance.
- Primary point of contact between Planning team, VM and retail teams.
- Conduct weekly comp-shops to understand competitor activity.
- Highly analytical with a strong understanding of the merchandise planning function.
- Advanced excel skills and an ability to use planning systems effectively.
- Strong commercial and retail knowledge.
- Clear communication skills.
- Strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to meet and work to critical deadlines.
