Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7 kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast’s expected population growth in the coming decades.

**About this role**:
The Training Coordinators role will be to work as part of the People Team to ensure the delivery of compliant training strategies set for the project. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Training policies, procedures and initiatives are delivered with integrity and consistency across the project.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide education and information relating to training requirements for the GCLR project.
- Implement project training strategies to achieve compliance with the Queensland Training Policy and meet all current KPI’s for the project.
- Liaise with local service providers, and training providers to ensure optimal utilisation to meet training needs.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate training event logistics to meet training objectives.
- Manage and update the Project Training Management Plan as required and ensure all relevant parties are kept abreast of associated changes.
- Engage with RTO’s to ensure the Project training strategy is delivered and appropriate access to funding is optimised.
- Assist with project activities that support Queensland Procurement Policy and Best Practice Principles, including opportunities for Apprentices and Trainees increasing employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers and other local employment initiatives
- Actively promote and seek training opportunities for the project.
- Track and complete internal project reports capturing development and training outcomes in line with Project targets and compliance**.**

**About bit you and your experience**:

- 2+ years’ previous experience in a Training Coordinator role with exposure to engineering, construction, manufacturing sectors.
- Strong administration and people management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, working with a broad range of people from varying backgrounds.
- Competent with MS Office and other related business communication tools.
- Recognised ability to organise, prioritise and work well under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
