**Accounts Payable Officer - Sydney, NSW**

**Purpose of Position**:
***
The role of Accounts Officer - AP, is to provide support to the Head of Finance and Financial
Controller in the control of the finance and accounting policies, practices and procedures.
It will also include the compliance with statutory requirements, preparation of monthly financial
reports, accounting records, variance analysis and ad hoc reporting, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions and thereby improve our profitability.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Check Supplier Invoices, provide G/L & CC and forward them to FSS for posting
- Post manual non-PO supplier Invoices and any last-minute Invoices for the payment
- Process Staff expenses / Corporate Credit cards.
- AP Vendor/Supplier Management
- Processing Weekly Domestic payments and Overseas payments and EOM payments
- Check and reconcile Supplier Statements
- Provide support for Cash Management Reporting
- Manage AP Aging Reporting
- Daily Bank Reconciliation - Post entries for Bank Statement Direct Debits (Lease

payments, Payroll and other Direct Debits)- Balance and reconcile Intercompany accounts
- Any other adhoc duties to assist Financial Controller and Head of Finance and other

functional team members- Assist in preparation work schedules for yearend audits and annual tax returns
- Liaise with external accounting and related service providers upon instruction to ensure

statutory obligations are met.- Be responsible for matters in the company SAP system to ensure related internal control

objective is met.- General ledger reconciliations
- Month end close procedures (Including journal posting and accruals).
- Perform other financial and administrative matters that the company may see

appropriate.
- **Mandatory Skills & Experience Requirements**
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel
- Strong communication both written and verbal, attention to detail, analysis and report

writing skills- Ensuring Best Practice in all responsibilities
- SAP experience
- Experience in US Multi-national Companies
