**About this Opportunity**

A new opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled multi-combination licence driver to join the Transport team in Rowville. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for safely delivering freight to Lactalis customers.

You must have a strong focus on safety and accuracy. You will need a proactive and positive attitude; be able to build collaborative relationships with your team and stakeholders, both internal and external to the business. You will take pride and be committed to delivering high quality work at all times.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Pick-up and delivery of freight as per your shift schedule and customer requirements.
- Maintain good customer relations at all times and provide professional and courteous service.
- Comply with all transport laws and regulations, relating but not limited to: mass, dimension, load restraint, speed, fatigue management, vehicle maintenance and vehicle standards.
- Comply with safe operating procedures.
- Complete and record pre-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure vehicle and trailers meet safety standards.
- Record accurate driving hours and rest break records in accordance with legislative requirements (driver daily worksheets and/or work diaries or log books).
- Ensure that the company vehicle is clean and fuelled at all times. Report any vehicle defects promptly.
- Be a safe and courteous road user at all times.

- Previous experience as a transport driver
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously as part of the bigger team.
- Diplomacy and initiative
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of commercial vehicles
