**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced transport driver to join our Supply Chain team based at Rowville. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to our customer and stakeholders.

You must have a strong focus on safety and accuracy and take pride in delivering high quality work at all times. You will need a proactive and positive attitude; and be able to work autonomously and as part of a larger team.

It is essential that you are able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

**Key accountabilities of the role are**:

- Liaise with customers in relation to the delivery of products;
- Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring proper handling and adherence to food safety standards;
- Collect crates and pallets from customers’ premises;
- Complete and maintain accurate records of deliveries, safety and travel information;
- Maintain good customer relations at all times and provide professional and courteous service. Report any customer service issues promptly to your Coordinator;
- Safely operate assigned vehicle and conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections/ audits to ensure the safety and compliance of the transportation fleet;
- Be a safe and courteous road user at all times and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, promoting safe driving practices;
- Identify any potential safety risks at customer premises and organise a site risk assessment with your Coordinator;
- Report all vehicles defects as they occur with your Coordinator.

**About You**

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Heavy Combination License.
- Multi Combination License is highly desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience as a transport driver preferably in FMCG.
- Proficient written and oral communications skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- An understanding of quality standards and HACCP.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicles.
