**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager - Sales, to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will have the opportunity to directly manage and lead our Construction, Used Equipment, and Rental teams, whilst overseeing the division's strategic marketing activities focused on maintaining and growing our market share in the construction equipment sector. The role will require ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders, including Sales Managers, Branch Managers, Product Managers, and Marketing and Factory representatives to deliver on sales targets and achieve the business objectives set. This is a significant opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for sales and a proven track record in the construction, heavy automotive or similar industry.

Reporting to the Director - Construction, Mining, Used Equipment and Rental, your responsibilities will include:

- Developing, implementing and achieving sales targets whilst managing the expense budget effectively.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing strategies in consultation with key stakeholders
- Monitor market conditions and ensure ongoing strategic alignment
- Hands-on approach to directly building relationships with key strategic customers.
- Manage stock and ordering process in line with sales plan and targets.
- Oversee Used Equipment and Rental targets and manage inventory levels.
- Support Branch Sales Managers on targeted strategies, to assist in achieving budget
- Streamline and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the sales administration processes.
- Prepare monthly reports on business objectives for the Construction, Used Equipment, and Rental segment.
- Maintain and build upon the installed OEM Factory relationships.
- Provide guidance and direction to employees improving staff morale.
- Promote the total services offered by the company in customer relationships.
- Develop local supply sourcing strategies and manage suitable contractual arrangements.

**About you**
- Demonstrated management experience in the construction, heavy automotive or similar industries.
- Proven track record in training and developing sales staff.
- Strong ability to implement sales systems for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results-oriented, autonomous, and proactive.
- Preferential: Construction industry and product knowledge.
- Essential: Business/Management-related tertiary qualification.
