**Your new role**:
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining AustralianSuper’s strategic enterprise-wide information and cyber security management program, with the purpose of protecting the organisation. This leader will develop and manage a world-class security function focused on driving a holistic approach to corporate and member security, as well as ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory policies.
- Key duties include but are not limited to: _
- Lead the development and execution of a short, medium and long-term strategy for information and cyber security at AustralianSuper globally.
- Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of security technology and systems.
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring for the security leadership team including performance management and development opportunities
- Lead the cyber security experts at AustralianSuper across governance and operations in a community of practice.
- Stay abreast of and provide specialist advice on information security and physical security risks and threats.
- Partner with business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes ensuring Information Security and Physical Security controls are effective and proportional to AustralianSuper’s risk appetite.
- Lead the Information Security Management System (ISMS) including global security policy, standards, guidelines, audit plans and progress of actions to ensure an effective risk-based framework.
- Provide oversight of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and management of major security incidents.
- Engage effectively with the executive team and governance committees, e.g. Head of Group Legal and Head of Risk. Regularly provide guidance, metrics and reporting to senior stakeholders, including the board and audit committees.

**What you’ll need**:

- Degree in computer engineering, cyber security, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT roles.
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to articulate relevant stories to create buy-in, pitched appropriately to take all parts of the employee community along the security journey.
- Industry experience at a global level.
- Experience in taking the security function beyond IT
- Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience leading an enterprise-wide security function.
- Ability to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to adapt to the size of the enterprise as it grows and develops.
