We have an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. This is a full-time ongoing role based in our Geelong Head Office + hybrid working.

**About the role**

The Payroll Officer is responsible for processing and administers the payroll for GMHBA Limited team members, including employee additions, termination calculations, year-end payroll reconciliation, Single Touch Payroll (STP) and general payroll related statutory compliance.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your day to day will include:

- End to end Payroll preparation and processing - fortnightly and monthly, for 300+ FTE
- Processing of timesheets, deductions & allowances.
- Superannuation payments, PAYG & Payroll Tax requirements
- Processing leave, terminations, new starters
- General administration - payroll/HR information, system admin
- Working collaboratively with the Payroll Manager to identify improvements to processes and systems.

**About you**
- Experience in a similar payroll position where you’ve worked with multiple and complex industrial agreements (e.g. Enterprise Agreements, Awards, Common Law).
- Proficiency in Payroll systems - Preceda, Preceda Time would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Well-developed communication skills - personable and approachable and able to deal with confidential enquiries.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills in order to meet deadlines and ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with or exposure to reviewing/improving payroll process would be an advantage
